2023 IVIG Demonstration Payment Rate - IVIG

The 2023 payment rate for IVIG demonstration services rendered to eligible beneficiaries enrolled in the IVIG demonstration is $392.56. This payment rate applies to dates of service from January 1, 2023, through December 31, 2023. All other processes related to submitting demonstration applications and processing claims under this demonstration remain the same. Make sure your billing staff is aware of this update.

Under the demonstration, Medicare makes a bundled payment for all services and supplies related to the administration of the IVIG medication to a beneficiary in the home. As a bundled payment, no additional payment will be made for any other services or supplies used before, during or after the administration of the IVIG. Such supplies and services may include travel time, needles, tubing, saline, pumps, peripheral IV supplies, etc. and the beneficiary may not be charged for these services or supplies. Medicare will only pay separately for the IVIG medication in accordance with the coverage and payment rules under the traditional Medicare fee-for-service program.
