Did you know that the Comprehensive Error Rate Testing (CERT) Review Contractor is enforcing the Affordable Care Act (ACA) requirements?

The CERT Review Contractor started enforcing all ACA requirements upon the implementation date of July 1, 2013. This means that the CERT contractor will be evaluating supplier claims for adherence to all aspects of the ACA requirements.

It is important that suppliers be aware of this enforcement in order to ensure a successful response to all requests for records. Since the implementation date of July 1, 2013, suppliers should be prepared and already obtaining all documentation to support the ACA requirements in preparation for CMS to direct the MACs on a future date to begin enforcing the face-to-face requirements.
