How to Use DME on Demand Tutorials

DME on Demand Tutorials are equipped with features to allow suppliers access to view slide speaker notes and print tutorials. Utilize these "how to" tips to enhance the use of the DME on Demand product.

  1. Guestbook: When choosing a DME on Demand tutorial, the first step is to fill out the Guestbook. This is only used for tracking purposes. Check the Remember Me box if you prefer your computer to remember your information that is entered for future viewings.

Note: The navigational directions will vary depending on the Brainshark software running on your system. When the list isn't viewable on the left, click anywhere on the screen for an optional navigational menu. The comparable items will be referred to as Option A and Option B where applicable.

  1. Slide Tools: At the bottom of the tutorial, there will be a Previous Slide, Play, and Next Slide options available. This will allow you to Play or Pause during a slide, or move to the Previous Slide or Next Slide at your own pace.

  2. Slide Menu: The left-hand margin of the presentation lists the contents on each slide and the amount of time for that slide.

  3. Skipping Slides: This is available after viewing the entire session in order. Option A - use the left-handed margin menu to skip over slides. You can click on the slide you want to view and it will take you directly there. Option B - scroll to the right using the scroll bar in the content box.

  4. View Slide Notes: Option A - locate the question mark in the lower right corner of the tutorial. By clicking on it, a menu will appear. Select "View Slide Notes". The speaker notes will then be viewable at the bottom of the tutorial. Option B - click on the note icon after the menu appears.

  5. Email a Question: Option A - locate the question mark in the lower right corner of the tutorial. By clicking on it, a menu will appear. Select "Email a Question". Option B - click on the more icon and then ask question. Submit a question regarding the topic of the tutorial and a Noridian Education Representative will email you a response. Do not submit Protected Health Information (PHI) or questions that do not pertain to the tutorial topic. Direct other questions to the Provider Contact Center (PCC).

  6. Survey: Each tutorial will end with a survey concerning the presented material. Completing the survey is important to ensure the DME on Demand tutorials are beneficial to providers training needs.
     
  7. Certificate of Completion: Each tutorial will send a certification of completion email if 70% or more of the training is completed. Due to the short time of these tutorials, a Continuing Education Unit (CEU) is not offered.
