  • Do not reply to confirmation email. It is automatically generated, and address is not monitored.
  • Confirmation link is valid for 48 hours. If account is not activated within 48 hours, a user may log into their account, go to Manage Account and select the "Resend Registration Email" link to have the confirmation email resent.

Security questions help recover your account if needed.

Choose a security question from the pre-selected list of questions and enter an answer. This must be completed five times with a different answer for each question. Each answer must be at least four characters long. Select the Save Answers button when finished.

Tips
  • Do not use any form of punctuation in your security answers
  • A screen print of this page should be taken for your records once the questions have been answered

If you need to reset your password or you are locked out of your account, you can select the forgot/unlock password link and answer 3 of the 5 security questions. This will allow you to get back into your account without having to call Noridian.

Confirmation of the account is indicated. Select the Next button to proceed to the next step.

If you receive a registration failure message, you will need to find your confirmation email sent from do-not-reply-noridianportal@noridian.com and click the confirmation link. If you do not have the email, contact the Noridian Provider Contact Center or User Security to have a new confirmation email sent to you.

Input your TIN, NPI, PTAN, and Submitter ID.

Answer the following questions:

  1. Select User Type - Provider/Supplier or Vendor
If Provider/Supplier selected, answer "Are you a small provider/supplier with less than 25 employees?" "Yes" must be selected to be eligible for Dual Role access (Administrator and End User).
  2. Your Role (View Roles page for descriptions)
    • Provider Administrator
    • End User
    • Vendor Administrator
    • Vendor End User
Tip
If registering for Dual Role, select Provider Administrator.

Link your account to the appropriate provider identifiers.

  1. Enter required information
    • Medicare Program (Part A, Part B, DME)
    • Trading Partner ID (Issued by EDI/CEDI)
      • A Trading Partner ID is NOT required for a DME supplier registration
      • Forgot Submitter ID / Trading Partner ID? Use the Submitter ID Lookup
    • National Provider Identifier (NPI)
      • NPIs must be registered as electronic claim submitters.
    • Provider Transaction Access Number (PTAN)
    • TIN or Social Security Number (SSN)

Helpful Reminders:

  • Only one TIN/NPI/PTAN combination is needed during registration. Additional combinations may be added by going to Manage Account > Provider/Supplier Combinations once registration is complete.
  • Enter group or billing provider combinations only. Do not enter individual provider combinations.

If registering as a Provider Administrator, the following are required:

  • Check Number - Enter check number of one of 50 most recently issued checks by Noridian
    • Part A providers must enter check information issued within last 90 days. Part A check numbers contain "EFT" in front of the check number. Part B check numbers are a series of numbers without "EFT".
  • Check Amount - Enter amount of corresponding check number
Tip
Noridian strongly recommends contacting the IVR to obtain recent check information. A remittance advice cannot always guarantee accurate check number and amount information.

To obtain recent check information from the IVR:

  1. Dial your jurisdiction's Contact Center phone number
  2. Say "General" or press number 1
  3. Provide group NPI, PTAN, and last 5 of the Tax Identification Number
  4. Say "Financial" or press the number 3
  5. Say "Checks" or press the number 1
  6. Say "Status"
  7. Say "Processed"

The IVR will give the number of checks in that status and then will give the check number, issue date, and check amount.

DME suppliers must indicate what Jurisdiction the check amount and number was issued from - Jurisdiction A (JA) or Jurisdiction D (JD).

If registering as a Vendor, the following are required:

  • Vendor Administrators and Vendor End Users must enter their Vendor Trading Partner ID and the Provider/Supplier Trading Partner ID submitted by the provider.
  • DME Vendor Administrators and Vendor End Users must enter same Trading Partner ID that Provider Administrator entered in both fields
Tip
If the incorrect role was selected in Step 5, use the Back button on the bottom of the screen to return to Step 5 and choose the correct role.

Possible Registration Errors:

Error Message Description Next Steps
Invalid Entries Verify numbers were entered correctly Verify the ID numbers were entered correctly.
Verify your check number and amount is recent and correct. Get the check number from the IVR, not the remit.
DME users - leave Trading Partner ID blank.
NO_PA A Provider Administrator has not been established for TIN. Provider Administrator must be on file prior to End User or Vendor Administrator registration. If you receive this error, it means that there isn't an active Provider Administrator for the combination you are trying to register. Someone at the organization must register to be the Provider Administrator before the Provider End Users can register for an account.
PA_LIMIT_EXCEEDED 5 Provider Administrators are on file for TIN You are at your maximum number of Administrators. Verify all Administrators are active and remove any that are no longer at your organization.
TIN_LIMIT_EXCEEDED 25 TINS already on Provider Administrator Account The limit for an account is 25 Tax IDs. Consider naming a new Provider Administrator to manage additional Tax IDs.
VA_LIMIT_EXCEEDED Two Vendor Administrators on file for the identifier combination. Only two Vendor Administrators are permitted per identifier combination.
COMBO_REQ_EXISTS TIN/NPI/PTAN previously requested and pending Administrator approval Contact your Administrator and request that they approve the registration with the original combination. It is likely still pending approval.

Once submitted, your Provider Administrator will approve your access.

After a successful registration, a confirmation will display, and the following actions will be required to gain access to portal.

Provider End User Registration is pending Provider Administrator approval. No access to functionality until approved.
