Joint DME MAC Article
This article is revised to retract the coding guidance issued by the DME MACs in August 2016 for the Eclipse™ Vaginal Insert system.
In August 2016 the DME MACs published a correct coding determination article for the Eclipse™ Vaginal Insert system (Pelvalon, Inc). After review of additional information and discussions with Pelvalon, Inc., the DME MACs have concluded that the device does not fall under DME MAC jurisdiction. Consequently, correct coding for the Eclipse™ Vaginal Insert system will be determined by the applicable A/B MAC contractor.
Physicians should contact their local A/B MAC contractor for the correct coding of the Eclipse™ Vaginal Insert system.
