Prescribed amount of oxygen is greater than 4 liters per minute
Monthly reimbursement for stationary oxygen is dependent on the amount of oxygen (liters per minute or LPM) prescribed by the ordering physician. This modifier identifies the quantity of oxygen prescribed.
Correct Use
- Append to oxygen claims when ordering physician has prescribed more than four (4) LPM of oxygen
