Because code K0534 (Respiratory assist device, bi-level pressure capability, with back-up rate feature, used with invasive interface, e.g., tracheostomy tube) has been placed in the frequent and substantial servicing payment category, accessories used with K0534 are not separately payable. The effective date for this is the effective date of the RAD policy, October 1, 1999.
