Pre-Claim Hotline - JD DME
The Pre-Claim hotline is a service for suppliers regarding Advance Determination of Medicare Coverage (ADMC) and Condition of Payment Prior Authorization (COPPA) programs. The hotline is intended to be used for inquiries that are related to the above-mentioned services prior to billing an item.
This service is not intended for beneficiaries. Beneficiaries must call 1-800-Medicare for questions regarding ADMC or COPPA programs.
Acceptable use of the hotline includes questions a supplier may have during the preparation of an ADMC, COPPA submission, questions on a decision that was received or information on coverage criteria.
When calling the hotline number, the caller will be directed to a voicemail. He/she must provide the below information.
- Beneficiary Name
- Supplier Name
- Phone Number
- Hours of availability and time zone
- Beneficiary Medicare Number or Medicare Beneficiary Identifier (MBI), if applicable
- Brief description of the question/issue

A Clinical Reviewer will return each voicemail within five business days.
Suppliers are reminded to call the Supplier Contact Center for status inquiries, processing, and/or claim information.
Suppliers can check the Prior Authorization Request (PAR) status, view the reviewer notes and add/view related documents on the Noridian Medicare Portal. Suppliers can also obtain claim status and claim details on the portal.
