POE AG Mission and Goals
Mission
To determine the best methods of providing quality education and training to our supplier community.
Goals

- POE AG provides input and feedback on training topics, provider education materials, and dates and locations of provider education workshops and events.
- POE AG also identifies salient provider education issues and recommends effective ways to disseminate information to all appropriate providers and their staff.
- POE AG is a provider education consultant resource but not an approval or sanctioning authority.

- What kind of education would you like to see?
- Some members of the O&P supplier community remain unclear about the distinction between a Standard Written Order (SWO) and a Written Order Prior to Delivery (WOPD). A WOPD is an SWO that must be received before delivery for items subject to that requirement; it is not a separate type of order or form.
- Could Noridian Medicare publish or recirculate an educational article clarifying this distinction, including the applicable timing requirements, to help suppliers better understand and consistently meet these requirements?
- CGM education: Must be documented within the medical record; not on a medication list
- Can CGS and Noridian do combined CGM education?
- Can the Dear Physician Letter be updated, as well as holding webinars? Physicians aren't attending the webinars so with the letter, suppliers have proof.
- Hydrophilic catheters: PDAC withdrew intermittent catheter codes at the end of last year. Just because it says it's hydrophilic or wet, doesn't mean the HCPCS code fits.
- Can education be given on this to PDAC as well as to suppliers?
- E0150 (combination wheeled walker with seat and transport chair, folding, adjustable, or fixed height) education: Covered effective October 1, 2026.
- Can education be clarified and provided?
- A meeting is upcoming and information will be shared as received.
