Prescribed amount of oxygen is less than 1 liter per minute (LPM)
Monthly reimbursement for stationary oxygen is dependent on the amount of oxygen (liters per minute or LPM) prescribed by the ordering physician. This modifier identifies the quantity of oxygen prescribed.
Correct Use
- Append to stationary oxygen claims when ordering physician has prescribed less than one (1) LPM of oxygen
