Direct Data Entry (DDE)

DDE allows providers to verify eligibility and check claim status (paid, denied or pending). Providers can check the status of claims within three days of a successful transmission.

DDE requires a connectivity service provided by an external company to establish the connection. It is the provider's responsibility to coordinate connectivity services. Options for connectivity can be found on the Noridian Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) website This link will take you to an external website.  under Connectivity Vendors.

Noridian is responsible for assigning user IDs and terminating access for DDE. The Medicare Claims Processing System (MCPS) Form is used for all security changes/updates.

Hours

  • Saturday 4 a.m. - 2 p.m. PT
  • During quarterly releases, holidays, and system purge weekends, DDE will not be available. See Contact for these schedules.
