Bankruptcy
Notify Noridian if you file bankruptcy.
If you have filed a bankruptcy petition or are involved in a bankruptcy proceeding Noridian requests that you notify us immediately so that we can properly coordinate with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Department of Justice (DOJ) to resolve Medicare financial obligations. Even if there are no outstanding payments at the time of the bankruptcy filing, this notification ensures that we handle your situation properly.
Notify us of the bankruptcy by email providing:
- Name bankruptcy is filed under
- District where bankruptcy was filed
- Docket number
- National Provider Identifier (NPI)
You must also serve CMS and the DOJ with notice of bankruptcy under the applicable federal laws, rules and regulations. https://www.cms.gov/medicare/medicare-fee-for-service-payment/bankruptcy
