Duplicate Remits Containing CO-97 and N111 - Resolved 01/19/22

Description of Issue: Noridian identified an issue with duplicate processing for claims submitted between January 9, 2022, and January 16, 2022. Submitters may receive duplicate 277CA reports indicating a duplicate rejection. Providers may also receive remits indicating duplicate denials with the remark codes CO-97 and N111.

Noridian Action Required: Noridian believes to have discovered the root cause of the issue and has taken necessary steps to resolve it.

Provider/Supplier Action Required: Providers can disregard remits containing CO-97 and N111 issued between January 6, 2022 and January 25, 2022. Providers can locate a pending and/or paid claim in the Noridian Medicare Portal (NMP) or Interactive Voice Recognition (IVR) system

Proposed Resolution/Solution: Noridian implemented needed changes to resolve this issue on January 19, 2022.

Update: This issue has been resolved as off January 19, 2022. Providers should continue to refer to the IVR or NMP for the status of their other claim.
