Key Questions for Discussion

All questions refer to wound care and cellular and tissue-based products (CTPs, “skin substitutes”) in the Medicare-eligible population only.

  1. How confident are you that current wound care guidelines and published evidence accurately represent reasonable and necessary care for diabetic foot ulcers?
  2. How confident are you that current wound care guidelines and published evidence accurately represent reasonable and necessary care for venous ulcers?
  3. How confident are you that current wound care guidelines and published evidence accurately represent reasonable and necessary care for pressure ulcers?
  4. How confident are you that published evidence supports the use of CTPs for healing diabetic foot ulcers?
  5. How confident are you that published evidence supports the use of CTPs for healing venous ulcers?
  6. How confident are you that published evidence supports the use of CTPs for healing pressure ulcers?
  7. How confident are you that there are not differences in effectiveness between brands or types of CTPs?
