February is Heart Health Month

Heart disease and stroke remain the first and third causes of death in the U.S., and a major cause of disability and reduced quality of life. Found among people aged 65 or older, heart disease is largely preventable.

CMS covers screening benefits for Medicare beneficiaries with certain cardiovascular screening blood tests. Screenings may identify an increased risk of heart disease and stroke. Medicare provides coverage for screening blood tests aimed at early detection of cardiovascular disease or abnormalities associated with an elevated risk of heart disease and stroke.

Medicare Screening Benefits - deductible and co-insurance waived
