COBA Crossover Letters - Portal Guide
COBA Crossover Letters
As a Provider Administrator, you can "Opt-In" or "Opt-Out" your facilities method of receiving Coordination of Benefits Agreements (COBA) crossover rejection letters. These letters can be "Opted-In" and the letters will be viewable on the Noridian Medicare Portal for any user within your facility that has access to the Claim Status Inquiry. If you choose to "Opt-Out" letters will continue to be received via postal mail. If you don’t choose a method, all COBA letters will continue to be sent in the mail.
To choose or update your delivery method, choose the "COBA Crossover Letters" tab on your Administrator Main Menu.
- Choose the PTAN, Medicare Program and Opt Status.
Note: For first time users, by choosing "All" for the PTAN and the Opt Status as "Not Opted" all the facilities PTANs will populate.
- Once the PTANs have populated, select or unselect the check box next to the preferred method of delivery for each PTAN and choose Update.
A message will display that the selection request has been received. Changes to your preferences may take up to 20 minutes to process.
